Heathcare Training Grant

Healthcare Training Grant

A grant program designed to support healthcare trainees and increase program completion.

The New York State Office of Healthcare Workforce Innovation announces the availability of funds to support the Healthcare Education and Life-Skills Program. The purpose of this funding is to increase the number of students, or trainees, pursuing careers in healthcare by offering wrap around services and support.

This initiative seeks to increase the healthcare workforce by: Identifying healthcare workforce shortages by region and supporting students/trainees interested in pursuing careers to meet the identified
healthcare needs of the region. Increasing graduation/completion rates among students/trainees by assessing the barriers to completion, and providing the necessary supports required for success.

Please Note: We can only serve participants in Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nursing, and Registered Nursing programs. The program is also restricted to training agencies in Herkimer, Oneida, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, and Otsego Counties.
